We are happy to announce that the Vyasa Puja celebration of our beloved Guru
Maharaja, H H Bhakti Vikasa Swami for the year 2010 would be celebrated in
Srirangam – Tamilnadu, India.
Sriran...gam is a well-known place of pilgrimage, the most important center for
Sri Vaisnava culture. Also Mahaprabhu stayed over there for 4 months.
Srirangam is a part of Trichy (also called Tiruchirappalli) city which is
well connected through trains and buses. Trichy has an international airport
too.
The Vyasa Puja schedule is as follows:
December 31st 2009, Thursday – Receiving the devotees
January 1, 2010 (Friday):
5:00 am – Mangala Arati, followed by Japa
7:30 am – Deity darshan, followed by Srila Prabhupada Guru puja
8:00 am – Lecture by Guru Maharaja
10:00 am to 4:00 pm – Ranganatha Darshan, Bathing in Kaveri, Shopping etc
4:30 pm – Lecture by Guru Maharaja
5:30 pm to 8:30 pm – Maha Nagar Sankirtan at Trichy
January 2 (Saturday):
5:00 am – Mangala Arati, followed by Japa
7:30 am – Deity darshan, followed by Srila Prabhupada Guru puja
8:00 am – Vyasa Puja Lecture by Guru Maharaja
10:00 am – Vyasa Puja
1:00 pm – Prasadam Feast

Registration fees: Rs.500 (Age: 12 and above), Rs.300 (Age 5-11); includes
accommodation, prasadam etc.

Late registration (Within 15 December) will be charged Rs.500 extra per
devotee.
No refund on cancellation. Transfer of registration allowed till December
20, 2009.
No registration fees for full-time brahmacaries, but definitely need to
register. Cancellation of the same will be charged Rs.500 (from the yatra
incharge).
Un-registered devotees need to arrange for prasadam and accommodation at
their own.

Etiquette to be followed by every participants:
* We humbly request the devotees not to embarrass us by participating in
Vyasa Puja without registration. This is a great opportunity for us to
glorify our gurudeva and also to hear from him.
* Devotees who are not yet initiated and are chanting minimum of 8 rounds of
Hare Krsna mantra in their everyday practice are also allowed to take part
in the festival. And they are requested to chant minimum of 16 rounds during
the Vyasa Puja. If someone is not in that level, let them attend the Vyasa
Puja in later years.
* Devotees should wear only Vaisnava dress (Men: dhoti and kurta; Women:
Saries). Men should not wear South Indian vestis or the North Indian
pijamas. Women should decently wear the saries and cover their head with the
same.
* Men with Mustache, beard are not allowed
* Any shopping or personal works should be done only in the time given in
the schedule, or by staying extra days in the dham. Devotees are strictly
discouraged to miss any programs. Guru Maharaja doesn’t like devotees
missing in mangala arati, lecture etc. He wants everyone to follow the given
schedule. Let us not displease him in Vyasa Puja.
*Srirangam has many holyplaces around and devotees are encouraged to visit
those places by staying longer–without missing Vyasa-puja schedule. Those
who go around for sight-seeing skipping our programs will not be registered
for next-years’ Vyasa-pujas.
* Special requests (like, return prasadam, specific requirement for staying,
western toilets etc) should be done along with registration.
* All the participants should abide by the requests/norms given by the
organizing servants of the Vyasa Puja.
* All are requested to behave properly with everyone especially with the
residents of the holy dham. For assistance, you can contact the organizing
servants of the Vyasa puja.
Please inform about the Vyasa puja to all the devotees who are
well-wishers/disciples of our beloved Guru Maharaja and especially to those
who don’t have email access.
