Manmohini told me that when she lived in the Boston temple, she and Gririraja went out on Sankirtan every day, the two of them and chanted together and distributed BTG's. Giriraj Swami This weekend New Dvaraka will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, and I will be speaking on Sunday at 5 p.m. ISKCON Los Angeles was Srila Prabhupada’s “Western World Headquarters.”
Giriraj Swami Today, April 1, is celebrated in some countries as April Fools’ Day, and I thought of Srila Prabhupada’s words: “We should remain everlastingly a fool before the spiritual master--not artificially, but feelingly--and then we can make real progress. Lord Caitanya also accepted Himself a fool before His spiritual master,... and all of us must follow the transcendental process”--ready to be rectified by guru, by his grace.

Giriraj Swami “The best devotee is a bhajananandi who preaches.” Indradyumna Swami quoted this statement by Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati to set the theme of his wonderful talk at the Laguna festival. Caitanya’s spiritual master told Him, “Continue dancing, chanting, and performing sankirtana in association with devotees. Giriraj Swami I have been in Dallas since Thursday. This evening, Guru Prasada Swami, Indradyumna Swami, and I will speak at the temple, and Tuesday evening Indradyumna Swami and I will perform initiations. And the next day, Wednesday, he and I leave for Santa Barbara.
Giriraj Swami On Wednesday evening, I met with the devotees of the Vaisnavas Care team in Houston, which is dedicated to providing material and spiritual support to the dying and their loved ones. These devotees, in their compassion and care, are extraordinary. They told me that they wanted to learn from me the proper mood of servic...e to Vaisnavas. I told them that I had come there to learn that from them--and I did.

Giriraj Swami Saturday, a girl, age nine, told of a dream in which Prabhupada spoke to her. And another girl said to me, “You are so lucky that you knew Prabhupada. I wish I knew him.” Later, the first said, “I wish I had met Prabhupada. You are so fortunate.” The parents told them, “You are fortunate to know someone who knew Prabhu...pada.” Well, I am fortunate that I knew Prabhupada--and met these beautiful young devotees.
Giriraj Swami On my flight to Houston, a gentleman greeted me with folded palms. He was Bob Cuming, who lived on the same block as John Colcleugh and was close friends with him from age four till John left for India. I will be in Houston from February 18 to 26 and in Dallas from February 26 to March 8, where I will observe Gaura Purnima on February 28 and Srivasa Pandita’s appearance day--and the welcoming back of little Radha-Kalachandji--on March 7. Then back to California to host Indradyumna Swami in Car...pinteria and celebrate the Holy Name Festival with him in Laguna Beach on March 13.
