Dear Yagya Friends,
Dipavali (also called Divali) is the annual festival of lights, celebrated each year to attract the blessings of Lakshmi. The festival features the lighting of small lamps (deepa), symbolic of the inner light of consciousness, the victory of light over darkness, and the universal qualities of compassion, love and universality.
We celebrate this year by offering this yagya at no charge. It is open to all who wish to participate. Just click here.
If you use services like gmail or hotmail, simply email a list of names to be included to BenCollins@Puja.net.
All of our priests and pundits take great pleasure in performing this yagya for you, our sponsors, who have made their lives so much better with the blessings of your participation and support of the yagya program.
Very best to everyone. Happy Dipavali!
Warm regards,
PS. You will see that the November Yagya sign up for our Subramanya and Hanuman yagya series is available on the Puja.net site. I will be sending out another newsletter later in the week with all the details, but in the meantime if you want to register, please feel free to do so.

Dear Yagya Friends,
Our free Divali yagya was a wonderfully inspiring success. We had a total of 1,173 participants in all, an inspiring response! You can see photos of our private Lakshmi yagya here.
Deepavali and October's Navaratri yagya series were fantastic as always, thanks to our talented and enthusiastic priests. I've posted 18 new galleries of images. You can find them all here.
For November, our theme is power, in the form of Hanuman and Subramanya - the essence of the Mars - optimistic get it done energy. These yagyas will concentrate and focus the all the goddess shakti that Deepavali and the Navaratri yagyas have generated.
This yagya series will bring our inner potential to greater fruition in the form of more power and effectiveness in the "real world" at the same time developing more focus to advance us on the path to the enlightenment we desire.
As always, the priests and pundits are grateful for your continued participation and especially for your appreciation of the power of the vedic tradition.
Enjoy the yagyas!
Warm regards,

Dear Yagya Friends,
We have a very special yagya for December; the Rig Veda Pavamana Soma Yagya (Tues Dec. 14 - Thurs Dec. 23).
We are fortunate to have arranged for five of the specially qualified Rig Veda pundits for this unique yagya. The Pavamana yagya has two purposes; it is intended to dissolve any negative karmas that we may have created in this life, and also to support the refinement and purification of our conscious awareness through the production of Soma. This yagya is often called the "Soma Yagya".
Pavamanir dishanthu nah,
Imam lokamadho aamum,
Kaamaan samradhayanthu nah,
Devir devai samaabhruthaa.-Rig Veda
Those who are purified by Pavamana Suktham,
Enjoy fully this world as well as the next,
Their wishes will be fulfilled,
And they will be united with gods and goddesses
You can read more of the beautiful Pavamana Suktam by clicking here. 18 Day Navagraha Yagyas
Tuesday, December 14 - Friday December 31
($27 or combine with Pavamana Yagya $71)
Our monthly Navagraha series continues due to its popularity. We will be expanding this program in a few weeks to give you more ways to participate; daily and weekly yagya programs and private temple pujas.
Puja.net site updates
Free Photos as Prasadam It is customary to send prasadam in the form of kumkum or vibhuti powder, but in these days of heightened mail security, that is very difficult to do. Instead we are offering our yagya participants the opportunity to choose a few yagya photos and have them printed for free.
Nine new photo galleries from the November Hanuman, Subramanya and Group Yagyas are now available and they feature some very dramatic and beautiful photos!
(see samples below)
All you have to do is click here and use the coupon code "PujaDec" when you check out. You'll receive a $3 credit - enough for a free print including shipping or 3-4 prints if you pay the modest shipping fee.
This is an experiment so please be sure to let me know what you think and how your ordering experience went.
Twitter - http://twitter.com/pujanet You can follow us on twitter with the link above. Daily posts include quotes from the vedic tradition and puja photos.
New Yagya Newsletter - Coming soon
As the Puja.net community continues to grow, so does the desire for explanations about the yagyas in greater detail than this announcement format can support. Our upcoming newsletter will provide a multimedia forum in which we can communicate about new yagya programs, explanations of the yagya and what to expect from them, plus we can include photos and yagya video. Watch for it soon!
As always, the priests and pundits are grateful for your continued participation and especially for your appreciation of the power of the vedic tradition.
Enjoy the yagyas!
Warm regards,

Dear Yagya Friends,
I am pleased to report that this month's Pavamana Soma Yagya is a great success. I have received quite a few emails relating very positive experiences; a lot of energy, focus, happiness, and light. Of course everyone's experiences are uniquely their own, but the trend is very positive.
This particular yagya is a delicate one, requiring specially trained Rig Veda pundits. The two older pundits on the left in the image above spent many years in the service of Chandrashekarendra Saraswati, the Shankaracharya who lived 100 years, and worked with him to perfect the proper performance of this yagya. We are very fortunate to have the benefit of their expertise!
We're hoping to make this yagya a part of every month's program.
You can view more photos from this yagya by clicking here.
Full Lunar Eclipse - December 20/21
The full lunar eclipse will be visible throughout most of the western hemisphere, although not in India. The eclipse begins at 10:30 PM (PST) Monday night and continues through 2:00 AM Tuesday, with the full eclipse at 12:15 AM.
Interestingly, this will be the first total lunar eclipse to occur on the Winter Solstice since 1638 and only the second in 2,000 years. Eclipse times are great for your mantra japa and spiritual practices. We have an extended yagya performance planned for that day because it will definitely have more power...which sometimes results in a bit of sleeplessness for our participants. Just meditate a little extra and rest as best you can.
January Navagraha Yagyas - 1/17 through 1/26
As is our tradition, the focus of the January yagya series will be the nine planets (Navagraha). Seetharam and our priests will be traveling to some of the beautiful planetary temples in the Kanchipuram area to perform special yagyas. This series has always been a great way to start the year and full details will be posted on the Puja.net site the beginning of January.
Special Private Yagyas
For two weeks each month Seetharama Sastry will be available to perform small private yagyas for individuals who desire some special attention. The yagyas will be take 3-4 hours and can be performed for any planet or deity you wish. The cost is the same as the small private yagya ($125).
In January, the availability will be from Jan 3 through Jan 14. If you are interested, please email me for details (bencollins@puja.net) and to reserve a day.
On behalf of all the priests and pundits, allow me to convey their appreciation for your continued participation, and very best wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
Enjoy the yagyas!
Warm regards,
