Hace aproximadamente una hora.
Elliot Mitchy Stubbs

Elliot Mitchy Stubbs Tropical Cyclone Tomas is now well clear of the Fiji group and life in Fiji, for the most part, has returned to normal. The Western Division (Nadi, Mamanucas, Yasawas, Coral Coast, Sun Coast) was largely unaffected throughout, and saw little more than a bit of strong wind and rain - it is already very much 'business as... usual' in these unaffected areas, with all ferry services, resort transfers etc running as normal.

The Northern and Eastern Divisions (Vanua Levu, Savusavu, Taveuni, Qamea, Matangi, Kioa, Laucala and the Lau group) bore the brunt of the cyclone, and a State of Emergency has since been declared in these affected areas. All guests and staff at resorts in the North have been reported safe but flights to and from the region are still currently on-hold, while damage to runways and airport infrastructure is carried out by teams on the ground.

The Fiji Children's Trust (click the link below) has initiated a FOOD AND CLOTHING APPEAL to gather donations of food and clothes/supplies for the North, and various state departments and authorities are already in the process of assessing the damage in the affected regions and organising on-going relief efforts.

All help/donations much appreciated.
