¡Oh, mi Seïor!, ¡oh, Suprema Personalidad de Dios!, ¿podre ser de nuevo el sirviente de Tus sirvientes eternos, cuyo único refugio son Tus pies de loto? ¡Oh, Seïor de mi vida!, ¿podre ser de nuevo su servidor, de forma que mi mente piense siempre en Tus atributos trascendentales, mis palabras glorifiquen siempre esos atributos, y mi cuerpo se ocupe siempre en el servicio amoroso de Tu Seïoría?

¡Oh, mi Seïor, fuente de toda oportunidad!, no deseo disfrutar en Dhruvaloka, ni en los planetas celestiales ni en el planeta en que reside el Seïor Brahmä, ni deseo ser el gobernante supremo de todos los planetas terrenales o de los sistemas planetarios inferiores. No deseo ser amo de los poderes del yoga místico, ni deseo tampoco la liberación, si por ello tengo que abandonar Tus pies de loto.

ajäta-pakñäù—cuyas alas todavía no han crecido; iva—como; mätaram—a la madre; khagäù—pajarillos; stanyam—la leche de la ubre; yathä—tal como; vatsataräù—los terneros; kñudh-ärtäù—afligidos por el hambre; priyam—al amante o esposo; priyä—la esposa o amante; iva—como; vyuñitam—que está ausente del hogar; viñaëëä—triste; manaù—mi mente; aravinda-akña—¡oh, Tú, el de ojos de loto!; didåkñate—deseo ver; tväm—a Ti.
