Los ocho çlokas que compuso el Seïor Çré Caitanya Mahaprabhu, son:

Gloria al saìkértana de Çré Kåñëa, que limpia el corazón de todo el polvo acumulado por aïos, y extingue el fuego de la vida condicionada, de reiterados nacimientos y muertes. Este movimiento de saìkértana es la bendición principal para toda la humanidad, pues difunde los rayos de la Luna de la bendición; es la vida de todo el conocimiento trascendental, aumenta el oceano de la bienaventuranza trascendental, y nos permite saborear plenamente el nectar que siempre estamos ansiando.

¡Oh, mi Seïor!’, sólo Tu santo nombre puede otorgarles toda clase de bendiciones a los seres vivientes, y por eso Tú tienes cientos y millones de nombres, tales como Kåñëa y Govinda. En estos nombres trascendentales has invertido todas Tus energías trascendentales, y ni siquiera hay reglas estrictas para cantar esos nombres. ¡Oh, mi Seïor!, Tú eres tan bondadoso, que nos has permitido acercarnos a Ti fácilmente mediante el canto de Tus santos nombres, pero yo soy tan desafortunado, que no siento atracción por ellos,

Uno debe cantar el santo nombre del Seïor en un estado mental humilde, considerándose más ha/o que la hojarasca de la calle; uno debe ser más tolerante que un árbol, estar exento de todo sentimiento de vanidad, y estar dispuesto a ofrecerles pleno respeto a los demás. En semejante estado mental, uno puede cantar el santo nombre del Seïor constantemente.

¡0h, Seïor todopoderoso!, no tengo ningún deseo de acumular riquezas, ni tampoco deseo bellas mujeres, ni quiero tener seguidor alguno. Lo único que quiero es Tu servicio devocional sin causa, nacimiento tras nacimiento.

¡Oh, hijo de Mahäräja Nanda [Kåñëaj!, yo soy Tu siervo eterno, mas aun así, de una manera u otra he caído en el oceano del nacimiento y de la muerte. Por favor rescátame de este oceano de muerte, y colócame en Tus pies de loto, como uno de los átomos de ellos.

¡Oh, mi Seïor!, ¿cuando se adornarán mis ojos con lágrimas de amor que fluyan constantemente al cantar Tu santo nombre? ¿Cuándo se me ahogará la voz y se erizarán los vellos de mi cuerpo al recitar Tu nombre?

¡Oh, Covinda/, sintiendo la separación de Ti, considero que un momento es como doce aïos o más. Lágrimas fluyen de mis ojos como torrentes de lluvia, y en Tu ausencia me estoy sintiendo totalmente vacio en el mundo.
