Jayadeva Gosvämé, en su Gétä-govinda, ha cantado lo siguiente:
“En Su forma de pez el Seïor ha salvado los Vedas, y en la forma de una tortuga El ha llevado todo el universo sobre Su espalda. En la forma de un jabalí El ha recogido del agua este planeta terrestre. En la forma de Nåsiàha El ha matado a Hiraëyakaçipu. En la forma de Vämana El ha engaïado a Mahäräja Bali. En la forma de Paraçuräma El ha aniquilado todas las dinastías de los Kñatriyas. En la forma del Seïor Räma El ha matado a todos los demonios. En la forma de Balaräma El ha aceptado la gran reja de arar. En la forma de Kalki El ha aniquilado a todas las personas ateas.
