Cakra-tirtha

Cakra-tirtha is famous throughout all Mathurä-mandala. It is near Ambarisa tilä, the place of Mahäräja Ambarisa, where he worshipped the Supreme Lord with all the limbs of pure devotion. Once, this devoted king was about to break his Ekädasi fast at the auspicious moment on Dvädasi when the sage Durväsä arrived at his palace. The sage’s behaviour towards King Ambarisa displeased Lord Vishnu’s cakra, who chased Durväsä around the universe for an entire year. Durväsä fled even up to Brahmaloka and Sivaloka, but the cakra pursued him relentlessly. Finally, he reached Vaikunthloka where Lord Vishnu advised him to go back to Ambarisa, fall at his feet and beg forgiveness. Durväsä did so, and Ambarisa prayed to the cakra to spare Durväsä. It was by these prayers that the cakra stopped, and the sage’s life was spared.

One who bathes here is liberated from sin, even the sin of killing a brähmana. By the mercy of Sudarsana cakra, he will obtain darsana of the Supreme Lord and his life will become successful.

Cakra-tirtha

Cakra-Tirtha es famoso en toda Mathura-mandala. Está cerca de Ambarisa Tila, el lugar donde el rey Maharaja Ambarisa adoró al Seïor Supremo, con todos los miembros de la devoción pura. Una vez, este rey entregado a la Devoción estaba a punto de romper su ayuno Ekadasi en el momento auspicioso en Dvadasi cuando el sabio Durvasa llegó a su palacio. La conducta del sabio Durvasa disgustó al Seïor Vishnu protegía al Rey Ambarisa, envió el Chakra Sudarsana, que persiguió por todo el universo al sabio Durvasa durante un aïo entero. Durvasa huyó incluso hasta Brahmaloka y Sivaloka, pero el chakra le persiguió implacablemente. Aquel que se baïa aquí se libera del pecado, incluso el pecado de matar a un brahmana. Por la misericordia de chakra Sudarsana, obtendrá darsana del Seïor Supremo y su vida se convertirá en un exito.

En ‘Dvapara Yuga’ cuando el Señor Siva apeló el perdón ante el Señor Krishna, por haber cometido el gravoso error de oponerse a El en la batalla para vengar la muerte de Kasiraja, el Señor Krishna habló sobre la gran santidad y gloria espiritual del Purusottama-Ksetra, la Tierra más Santa, llamada así en honor del propio Señor Supremo, y sugirió al Señor Siva que residiera en el Santo Ksetra. Este episodio antiquísimo, -según el Skanda Purana-, fue narrado por Maharsi Narada al Rey Indradyumna, mientras le explicaba la antigüedad y gloria de la Morada Divina de Purusottama-Jagannatha.
