Çré Rädhä-rüpa-darçana
Seeing Çré Rädhä's Form
Text 1
siddhäçramasya mähätmyaà
çåëu räjan mahä-mate
yasya smaraëa-mätreëa
sarva-päpaiù pramucyate
siddhäçramasya—of Siddhäçrama mähätmyam—glories; çåëu—please hear; räjan—O king; mahä-mate—noble-hearted; yasya—of which; smaraëa—hearing; mätreëa—simply by; sarva-päpaiù—all sins; pramucyate—freed.
O noble-hearted king, please hear the glories of Siddhäçrama. Simply by hearing its glories one becomes free of all sins.

yat-sparçanäd dhareù säkñän
na viyogo bhavet kvacit
taà ca siddhäçramaà näma
vadantéha purä-vidaù
yat-sparçanät—by touching it; hareù—of Lord Kåñëa; säkñän—directly; na—not; viyogaù—separated; bhavet—becomes; kvacit—sometime; tam—it; ca—and; siddhäçramam—Siddhäçrama; näma—named; vadanti—say; iha——here; purä-vidaù—they who know the truth of ancient times.
One who touches the land of Siddhäçrama will never be separated from Lord Kåñëa. They who know the truth of ancient times say this place is named Siddhäçrama.
Text 3
darçanäd yasya sälokyaà
sämépyaà sparçanät tathä
särüpyaà snänato yäti
säyujyaà tan-niväsataù
darçanät—by the sight; yasya—of which; sälokyam—salokya; sämépyam—samipya; sparçanät—by the touch; tathä—so; särüpyam—sarupya; snänataù—by bathing; yäti—attains; säyujyam—sayujya; tan-niväsataù—by residing.
By seeing Siddhäçrama one attains sälokya liberation. By touching it one attains sämépya liberation. By bathing there one attains särüpya liberation. By residing there one attains säyujya liberation.

tat-térthasyäpi mähätmyaà
çrutvä candränanä-mukhät
rädhä snätuà manaç cakre
kåñëa-vékñepa-vihvalä
tat-térthasya—of this pilgrimage place; api—also; mähätmyam—the glory; çrutvä—hearing; candränanä-mukhät—from Candränanä's mouth; rädhä—Rädhä; snätum—to bathe; manaù—mind; cakre—placed; kåñëa-vékñepa—with separation from Lord Kåñëa; vihvalä—overwhelmed.
When Çré Rädhä, who was broken-hearted in separation from Lord Kåñëa, heard from Candränanä's mouth the glories of Siddhäçrama, She decided bathe in that holy place.

sürya-parvaëi mädhave
rädhä gantuà manaç cakre
utthäya kadalé-vanät
çré-siddhäçrama-yäträyäm—onm a pilgrimage to Siddhäçrama; sürya-parvaëi—on the sürya-parva day; mädhave—in the moth of Mädhava; rädhä—Rädhä; gantum—to go; manaù—mind; cakre—placing; utthäya—rising; kadalé-vanät—from Kadalévana.
Leaving the forest of Kadalévana on the sürya-parva day in the month of Mädhava (April-May), Çré Rädhä decided to go on a pilgrimage to Siddhäçrama.

gopénäm—of gopés; çata-yüthena—with a hundred groups; sarva-gopa-gaëaiù—with all the gopas; saha—with; çata-varñe—a hundred years; vyatéte—passed; tu—indeed; çrédämnaù—of Çrédämä; çäpa-käraëät—from the curse; çré-rädhä—Çré Rädhä; sibikärüòhä—on a palanquin; chatra—parasol; cämara—camaras; véjitä—fanned; änarteñu—in Anarta-deça; mahä-tértham—top the great holy place; yayau—went; siddhäçramam—to Siddhäçrama; saté—saintly.
Now that the hundred years of Çrédämä's curse had passed, saintly Çré Rädhä, riding on a palanquin, a parasol held over Her, fanned by many cämaras, and accompanied by a hundred groups of gopés and all the gopas, went to holy Siddhäçrama in the country of Anarta.

O king, accompanied by His sixteen-thousand queens and all His relatives in the Yädava dynasty, Lord Kåñëa also went on a pilgrimage to Siddhäçrama.

baliñöhä—strong; ye—who; ca—and; gopäläù—gopas; koöiçaù—millions; çastra-päëayaù—weapons in hand; siddhäçramam—Siddhäçrama; tu—indeed; jugupuù—protected; sarvataù—everywhere; rädhikä—of Çré Rädhä; äjïayä—by the order.
By Çré Rädhä 's order many millions of strong gopas, weapons in hand, protected the pilgrimage-party in Siddhäçrama.

snäntéà rädhäà siñevire
çata-yüthäù—a hundred groups; tathä—so; gopyaù—gopés; vetra-hastä—sticks in hand; mahä-baläù—very strong; siddhäçrame—in Siddhäçrama; tu—indeed; vidhivat—properly; snäntém—bathing; rädhäm—Rädhä; siñevire—served.
Sticks in hand, a hundred groups of very strong gopés protected and served Çré Rädhä as She bathed at Siddhäçrama.

sthitänäà snänam icchatäm
çastra-vetrais täòitänäà
viviçur bhagavat-striyaù
dvärakä-väsinäm—as the men of Dvärakä; teñäm—they; sthitänäm—situated; snänam—bathing; icchatäm—desiring; çastra—weapons; vetraiù—sticks; täòitänäm—beaten; viviçuù—entered; bhagavat-striyaù—the wives of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
As the men of Dvärakä, wishing to bathe there, were being beaten with sticks, Lord Kåñëa's queens entered that place.

yad-gauravät trasantéha
sarve yädava-puìgaväù
kä—who?; iyam—She; snäté—bathing; iti—thus; papracchuù—asked; yasyä—_pf whom; vaibhavam—the power; adbhutam—wonderful; yad-gauravät—out of respect for whom; trasanti—fear; iha—here; sarve—all; yädava-puìgaväù—the best of the Yädavas.
The queens asked: Who is the girl bathing here? Her power is wonderful. The best of the Yädava warriors are terrified of Her.

Who is Her beloved? What is Her name? Where does She live? O Lord, You know everything. O son of Devaké, please tell us.

çré-bhagavän uväca—the Supreme Personality of Godhead said; våñabhänu—of King Våñabhänu; sutä—the daughter; säkñät—directly; rädhä—Rädhä; iyam—She; kérti—of Kérti; nandiné—the daughter; vrajeçvaré—the queen of Vraja; mad-dayitä—My beloved; gopikädhéçvaré—the queen of the gopés; varä—exalted.
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: She is named Rädhä. She is the daughter of Kérti and Våñabhänu. She is the queen of Vraja and the queen of the gopés. She is very exalted. I am Her beloved.

yad-gauravät trasanty ete
tasyä vaibhavam adbhutam
snätum—to bathe; siddhäçramam—Siddhäçrama; präptä—attained; vrajät—from Vraja; gopé-gaëaiù—with many gopés; saha—with; yad-gauravät—in awe of whom; trasanti—are frightened; ete—they; tasyä—of Her; vaibhavam—the power; adbhutam—wonderful.
Accompanied by many gopés, from Vraja She has come to bathe at Siddhäçrama. The great Yädava warriors are terrified of Her. That is Her wonderful power.

çré-kåñëasya—of Çré Kåñëa; vacaù—the words; çrutvä—hearing; Satyabhämä-Satyabhämä; atha—then; bhäminé—beautiful; çanaiù—slowly; präha—said; sapatnénäm—of her co-wives; rüpa-yauvana-garvitä—proud of her youthful beauty.
After hearing Lord Kåñëa's words, beautiful Satyabhämä, who proudly thought herself the queen whose youthful beauty was the greatest, slowly said:

kim—why?; nu—indeed; rädhä—Rädhä; rüpavaté—beautiful; na—not; aham—I; rüpavaté—beautiful; kim—whether?; u—indeed; bahubhiù—by many; yäcitä—begged; pürvam—before; rüpa—beauty; audärya—and greatness; guëa—virtues; arcitä—worshiped.
Why is Rädhä so beautiful? Am I not beautiful? Beauty and virtue worship me. Many begged for my hand.

purä tau dvau paläyitau
mad-rüpa-käraëät—because of my beauty; sakhyaù—O freinds; çatadhanvä—Satadhanva; måtaù—died; abhavat—became; akrüraù—Akrüra; kåtavarmä—Kåtavarmä; ca—and; purä—before; tau—they; dvau—both; paläyitau—fled.
Because of my beauty Akrüra and Kåtavarmä fled and Çatadhanvä died.

dattaù säkñät syamantakaù
dine dine—day after day; svarëa-bhärän—bharas of gold; añöäu—eight; sa—it; såjati—creates; svataù—itselkf; durbhikña—famines; märy—plague; ariñöäni—calamities; sarva—all; ädhi—sufferings; vyädhayaù—diseases; açubhäù—inauspicious; na—not; santi—are; mäyinaù—theives; tatra—there; yatra—where; äste—is; abhyarcitaù—worshiped; maëiù—jewel; mat-piträ—by my father; paribarhe—as a wedding present; api—even; dattaù—given; säkñät—directly; syamantakaù—Syamantaka.
On the day of my marriage as a wedding present my father gave the Syamantaka jewel. That jewel produces eight bhäras of gold every day. In the country where that jewel is worshiped there are no famines, plagues, calamities, diseases, thieves, or anything inauspicious.

Because of that jewel there is great power in my home. Because of that jewel Lord Kåñëa loves me and took me riding on Garuòa.

bhaumäsura-mahä-yuddhaà
duñöaà prägjyotiñaà puram
mamäpi kåpayä yüyaà
tat-puräc ca samägatäù
bhaumäsura-mahä-yuddham—a great battle with Bhaumäsura; duñöam—horrible; prägjyotiñam—Pragjyosia; puram—city; mama—of me; api—also; kåpayä—with mercy; yüyam—you; tat-purät—from that city; ca—and; samägatäù—come.
Because of me Lord Kåñëa attacked Prägjyotiña City and fought with Bhaumäsura. It is by my mercy that you all came from Bhaumäsura's City.

präptäù çré-kåñëa-patnétvaà
sarvä eva na saàçayaù
mad-gauraväc ca çakrasya
chatraà dattam anena vai
präptäù—attained; çré-kåñëa-patnétvam—teh status of Lord's Kåñëa's eife; sarvä—all; eva—indeed; na—no; saàçayaù—doubt; mad-gauravät—by respectf for me; ca—and; çakrasya—of Indra; chatram—the parasol; dattam—given; anena—by Him; vai—indeed.
It is by my mercy that all of you became Lord Kåñëa's wives. Of that there is no doubt. It is because of me that Lord Kåñëa returned Indra's parasol.

Because of my wish Lord Kåñëa returned Aditi's earrings and Indra's parasol. Because of my wish Lord Kåñëa took Bhaumäsura's riches and his elephants powerful as Airävata. Becasue of me Lord Kåñëa fought with Indra.

mad-dväre—at my doorway; vartate—is; nityam—always; våkñendraù—the king of trees; parijätakaù—Parijata; pätivratyena—by devotion ot my husband; eva—indeed; mayä—by me; çré-kåñëaù—Çré Kåñëa; ayam—He; vaçé-kåtaù—is conquered.
By the doorway of my house a pärijäta, the king of trees, eternally grows. With devotion to Him I have brought Lord Kåñëa under my control.

gauravaà vaibhavaà tathä
sarva—all; upaskara—paraphernalia; samyuktaù—possessing; näradäya—to Närada Muni; samarpitaù—offered; mat-samänam—equal to me; na—not; kasya—of whom?; astu—may be; gauravam—glory; vaibhavam—power; tathä—as.
It is becasue of me that Lord gave many gifts to Närada Muni. No one is my equal. Who is glorious and powerful like me?

No one is beautiful and virtuous like me. Who can be? Can it be said that this girl Rädhä is beautiful and virtuous like me? O Rukmiëi with the beautiful eyebrows, Çiçupäla and a host of kings fought over your beauty. Are you not beautiful? Friends, this Rädhä is only a cowherd girl. You are all princesses. You are fortunate and glorious. You are all worthy to be worshiped.

O king of Mithilä, as Satyabhämä spoke these words, Çré Rukmiëé and the other beautiful queens became filled with pride.

kuça—wild; kauçala—good fortune; çéla—virtue; artha—opulence; rüpa—beauty; yauvana—and youth; garvitäù—proud; çré-kåñëam—to Lord Kåñëa; mänadam—humble; prähuù—spoke; añöä—eight; paööa-mahä-striyaù—principal queens.
Proud of their good fortune, virtues, wealth, and youthful beauty, the eight principal queens spoke to humble Lord Kåñëa.

The queens said: From Your own mouth we have heard of Çré Rädhä. We remember You said that You love Her eternally and She loves You eternally.

We wish to see Her, Rädhä, Your beloved, who lives in Vraja, and who, unhappy because She is separated from You, has come here to bathe.

Çré Närada said: Saying, "So be it.", and taking the sixteen thousand queens with Him, Lord Kåñëa went to see Çré Rädhä.

çré-hema-çibire—on a golden palanquin; ramye—beautiful; patäkä-dhvaja-maëòite—decorated with flags and designs; candra—the moon; maëòala—circle; çobha—with the beauty; äòhye—opulent; vitäna-tanite—with a parasol; çubhe—beautiful.
Çré Rädhä's beautiful golden palanquin was decorated with flags, ornaments, a graceful awning glorious like the moon, . . .

muktä—of pearls; javanikä—a curtain; yatra—where; vastraiù—with colths; ästaraëam—spreading; çubham—beautiful; mälaté—-makarandäòhyam—rich with the nectar of malati flowers; sarvataù—everywhere; gandha-saìkulam—fragrant.
. . . a curtain of pearls, many opulent cloths, and the all-pervading fragrance of mälaté flowers.

tena—by him; bhåìgävalé—many bees; cakre—did; kalam—melodious; kolähalam—tumultuous sound; param—great; tatra—there; rädhä—Rädhä; paööa-räjïé—the most important queen; çré-kåñëa-håta-mänasä—Her heart captivated by Lord Kåñëa.
Attracted to that fragrance, many bees made a sweet-sounding commotion. Then the first queen, Çré Rädhä, Her heart captivated by Lord Kåñëa, came there.

haàsäbhaiù—splendid as swans; vyajanaiù—with fans; divyaiù—splendid; véjyamänä—fanning; sakhé-janaiù—by friends; chatra—parasol; dola—and palanquin;dharais tatra—carrying; vrajadbhiù—walking; tam—Her; itaù—here; tataù—and there.
Bearing Her palanquin, holding Her parasol, and fanning Her with fans splendid and graceful as a flock of swans, the gopés carried Rädhä here and there.

bälärka-kuëòala-dharä—wearing earrings splendid as the rising sun; vidyud-däma-manoharä—beautiful as a garland of lightning flashes; koöi-candra-pratékäçä—glorious as millions of moons; tanvé—slender; komala-vigrahä—Her form delicate; aìguly-agraiù—with Her toes; çobhanaiù—beautiful; svaiù—own; puñpa-bhümim—on the ground of flowers; manoharam—beautiful; çanaiù çanaiù—slowly; päda-padmam—lotus feet; dhärayanti—placing; ati-komalam—very delicate.
Then slender and delicate Rädhä, splendid as a necklace of lightning flashes, beautiful as millions of moons, and decorated with earrings glorious as the rising sun, gingerly placed first Her graceful toes, and then Her very delicate lotus feet on the ground filled with flowers.

O great king, when they saw Çré Rädhä from far away, Lord Kåñëa's thousands of queens, overcome by the sight of Her beauty, suddenly fainted.

tat-tejasä hata-rucaù
süryät tärä-gaëä yathä
gata-rüpäbhimänäs tä
ücuù sarväù parasparam
tat-tejasä—by Her glory; hata-rucaù—their glory was eclipsed; süryät—from the sun; tärä-gaëä—the stars; yathä—as; gata—gone; rüpa—of the beauty; abhimänäù—pride; täù—they; ücuù—said; sarväù—all; parasparam—among themselves.
As the sun makes the many stars seem insignificant so Çré Rädhä's beauty made the queens' beauty seem insignifant. Their pride in their own beauty now crushed, the queens said among themselves:

aho etädåçaà rüpaà
tri-lokyäà na hi cädbhutam
çrutaà yathä tathä dåñöaà
advitéyaà manoharam
ahaù—Oh; etädåçam—like this; rüpam—beauty; tri-lokyäm—in the three worlds; na—not; hi—indeed; ca—and; adbhutam—wonderful; çrutam—heard; yathä—as; tathä—so; dåñöam—seen; advitéyam—without peer; manoharam—charming.
Such wonderful beauty has no equal. In the three worlds the like of it has never been seen or heard of before.

evaà vadantyas täà präptäù
çré-kåñëasya puraù-saräù
gopénäà räja-putréëäà
neträëi parirebhire
evam—thus; vadantyaù—saying; täm—Her; präptäù—approached; çré-kåñëasya—of Çré Kåñëa; puraù-saräù—going before; gopénäm—of the gopés; räja-putréëäm—of the princesses; neträëi—the eyes; parirebhire—embraced.
As they were speaking these words, Lord Kåñëa's servants approached Çré Rädhä. It was then that the gopés and the queens met and their eyes embraced.
